ZONE Performance Baseball

The ZONE team is committed to long term athlete development with a focus on athlete, parent and coach education, preparation and injury prevention. Successful performance is based on a foundation of skill development, physical & mental preparation, and a commitment to excellence. Baseball is a fantastic game, with a rich history and tradition, spanning well over a century. Although many traditions and significant knowledge has carried forward through the decades, the evolution of the game, along with the science of rehabilitation, training and biomechanical analysis, has resulted in performance advances and innovative rehabilitation approaches. Many factors contribute to athletic performance. The athlete that addresses key factors in an educated and effective manner has the opportunity to achieve optimal performance, while minimizing the risk of injury. Play ball!

Injury prevention starts with YOU

Player, parent and coach education builds a foundation for effective player development and injury prevention. Adult leadership on and off the field should promote implementation of key strategies and components to further enhance the players' baseball experience by keeping them where they want to be... on the field. By working together we can promote fitness and develop excellent young baseball players, and even better citizens.

  • Promoting proper warm-up & cool-down
  • Encouraging proper nutrition & hydration
  • Avoiding throwing with, or through pain
  • Open communication with players, parents and coaches
  • Physical Literacy FUNdamentals
  • Age-appropriate skill & training programs
  • Respecting pitch count guidelines
  • Monitoring rest & recovery

This healthy and productive environment allows kids to develop their overall athletic ability, baseball skills, baseball smarts, and love of the game... while also preventing injury.
